Great quality video.Great sound.Small, light weight, & compact.No regrets in buying this item.
I bought this 30 minute Flip for my 7 year old son last Christmas. Also, its very difficult to burn DVDs from it and I have not been able to transfer the flip video to any other software like "Microsoft movie maker" for editing.I bought this 30 minute model for a cheap price. He has loved it, but over time, I noticed it has lost most of its recordable space and now its down to about a minute and 7 seconds. The Flip website addressed this problem but its still not solved and I have not had any return e-mails from their site. And my son has loved video taping and TV playback. If you plan to do much more, I would consider a regular camera with removable memory.
This is easy to use and easy to download the video. We used this on vacation and it was light, easy to whip out and video and super duper easy to download the video and share with our family back home.
The sound is good. this is a very cool recorder.If there is enough light it will record great. If the light is dim the quality is deminished. I record everything with it. Fits in your pocket very nice product
Since I downloaded the new version of software for my Flip Ultra, all of the video clips I download are in reverse order, making it impossible for me to conveniently make complete videos editing the clips together.When I downloaded video clips before and then tried to make a movie, they were all in chronological order.Now when I try to make a movie, the clips are in reverse order making it almost impossible to move around, especially when you have more than 20 clips, which I often do. If you stop-and-start and make 10 short videos to stitch together to make one longer movie, it's almost impossible because the videos are downloaded in the wrong order. So to make a coherent movie, you have to move the first one to the last order, the second video to the second-to-the-last order, and so on. It used to download in the correct order, but since this last "upgrade", mixes up the videos so they are unusable.
